Industrial globe valves Description
Industrial globe valves are forced-seal valves designed for industrial pipeline systems. The valve stem drives the disc to rise and fall vertically to achieve precise cutoff or regulation of the fluid. Its core features include:
High pressure bearing capacity (pressure levels cover PN16~PN420, up to Class 2500);
Wide temperature range (-29℃ to +570℃, some high-temperature models support working conditions above 538℃);
Material diversity (cast steel, stainless steel, chrome-molybdenum steel, etc., suitable for corrosive media and extreme environments).
Industrial applicable specifications
The globe valve that meets the needs of industrial scenarios must meet the following key specifications:
Diameter range: DN15~DN600, suitable for pipeline systems with different flow rates;
Pressure level: ≥PN40 (conventional industry) to PN420 (ultra-high pressure scenarios);
Drive mode: electric, pneumatic or gear drive (supports automatic control, takes precedence over manual operation);
Structural type: straight-through (universal), angle (flow direction conversion), three-way (flow distribution) and direct current (low flow resistance);
Special performance: insulation type (low temperature medium), bellows seal type (zero leakage requirement) or hard seal type (containing granular medium).
International production and testing standards
Production standards: Design specifications: American standard ASME B16.34 (pressure boundary design), European standard EN 12516 (shell strength calculation);
Manufacturing standards: API 609 (drive device), ASTM A216/A351 (cast steel/stainless steel material), GB/T 12235 (general requirements of national standards).
Testing requirements:
Sealing test: High and low pressure air tightness test according to API 598, leakage rate ≤ 0.01% × DN15;
Durability verification: 10,000 cycles of opening and closing test (no leakage) according to ISO 5208;
Extreme environment test: Nuclear power valves must meet IEEE 382 seismic resistance standards, and corrosive media scenarios must pass NACE MR0175 certification.
Industrial globe valves Applications

Industrial globe valves

Difference from ordinary globe valves
Performance parameters:
The pressure resistance level of industrial valves (PN160~420) is much higher than that of ordinary valves (usually ≤PN40);
The sealing level of industrial valves reaches ISO 5208 Class A (leakage ≤0.01%), while ordinary valves are mostly Class B (≤0.1%).
Material difference:
Industrial valves are mostly made of cast steel, alloy steel or stainless steel (ASTM A351), while ordinary valves are often made of cast iron or low-grade carbon steel.
Function expansion:
Industrial valves support electric/pneumatic remote control and are equipped with fail-safe mode (such as automatic shutdown when power is lost); ordinary valves are mostly manually operated.
Scope of application:
Industrial valves are suitable for high temperature, high pressure and corrosive media; ordinary valves are limited to non-harsh environments such as normal temperature water and gas.
