Corrosion-Resistant Globe Valves Description
Corrosion-resistant globe valve is a forced sealing valve designed for corrosive media. It realizes the on-off control of pipeline fluid through the vertical movement of the valve disc, and has the functions of diversion, cutoff, and regulation. Its core characteristics are the use of corrosion-resistant materials and special structural design, which is suitable for highly corrosive media environments such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and sulfur-containing liquids to ensure long-term stable operation.
Structure and working principle
Valve body and seal design
Forced sealing structure : When closing, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to ensure that the sealing surface fits tightly to block the flow of the medium;
Fluorine lining technology : Some models are lined with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or fluoroplastics on the inner wall of the valve body, which significantly improves the corrosion resistance;
Valve stem anti-seepage design : Bellows or stuffing box seals are used to prevent medium leakage and valve stem corrosion. Drive mode Mainly manual operation, worm gear or electric actuator can be configured for high-pressure conditions.

Applications
Petrochemical Industry
Transporting acid, alkali, salt solution and sulfur-containing crude oil to prevent valve leakage due to corrosion failure;
Controlling the inlet and outlet of the reactor, suitable for highly corrosive media such as nitric acid and acetic acid.
Environmental Protection and Power
Controlling wastewater containing chloride ions and sulfides in the sewage treatment system;
Steam pipelines and seawater desalination equipment in thermal power plants, resistant to high temperature and high pressure corrosion.
Special working conditions
Sulfur-containing natural gas or oil well pipelines adopt anti-sulfur design (such as NACE MR0175 standard materials) to prevent sulfide stress corrosion cracking.
Selection and Use Precautions
Suitability Assessment
Select materials according to the characteristics of the medium (concentration, temperature, pressure), such as hydrofluoric acid requires fluorine-lined valves, and high-temperature steam prefers metal hard seals;
Particle-containing media require scraping valve discs to prevent wear of the sealing surface.
Manufacturing process requirements
Imported brands (such as KNKE) usually use precision casting and surface polishing processes to reduce the risk of medium retention and corrosion;
Fluorine-lined valves must ensure the bonding strength between fluoroplastics and the valve body to avoid delamination and shedding.
