Power Station Gate Valves Description
Power station gate valves are high-performance valves designed specifically for power systems (such as thermal power plants and hydropower stations). They are mainly used to cut off or connect the medium (water, steam, oil, etc.) in the pipeline. Their core function is to ensure reliable sealing and control of fluid pipelines under high temperature and high pressure conditions.
Basic principle
The gate valve is opened and closed by the lifting and lowering movement of the valve plate perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. When opened, the valve plate is completely separated from the channel, and the fluid resistance is extremely small; when closed, the valve plate presses the sealing surface to cut off the flow of the medium. Its design features are fully open or fully closed, and it is not suitable for flow regulation.
Working characteristics
High temperature and high pressure adaptability: The gate valve of the power station needs to withstand extreme working conditions (such as steam systems up to 550℃, 42MPa), and adopts a self-sealing design-the higher the pressure, the stronger the sealing performance;
Low flow resistance design: The straight-through flow channel reduces pressure loss and is suitable for large flow transportation.
