Pneumatic knife gate valve is a valve that uses compressed air as the power source and drives the gate plate to move vertically through a pneumatic actuator to open and close the fluid. Its structure is divided into two parts:
The upper part: the pneumatic actuator (single-acting or double-acting), which drives the valve stem to rotate or lift through the movement of the piston.
The lower part: the valve body, the core is the wedge-shaped gate (rigid or elastic structure), the sealing surface angle is usually 50°, and the gate movement direction is perpendicular to the fluid.

Selection and maintenance points
Selection suggestions:
Select the gate type according to the characteristics of the medium (elastic gate is suitable for medium containing particles, and rigid gate is suitable for clean fluid).
For single-acting type, pay attention to the spring life, and double-acting type needs to be equipped with a solenoid valve.
Maintenance requirements:
Check the wear of the seal ring regularly and replace PTFE or metal seals in time.
The air source must be kept dry and clean to prevent internal corrosion of the actuator.
