Parallel Slide Gate Valves Description
Core Design
Parallel double gate structure: The gate adopts a double gate parallel sliding design, and realizes bidirectional cutoff through mechanical forced sealing or medium pressure self-sealing. The sealing surface is parallel to the fluid direction, reducing the direct erosion of the sealing surface by the medium.
Self-sealing and forced sealing: When closing, the gate is pressed by external force (forced sealing) or the medium pressure is used to push the gate to fit the valve seat (self-sealing), which is suitable for different working conditions.
Material and process
Valve body material: mostly cast steel (such as WCB, LCB) or forged steel, with a pressure resistance grade covering PN1.6~6.4 MPa (corresponding temperature -29~600℃).
Sealing surface reinforcement: The gate and valve seat sealing surface are welded with Stellite cobalt-based alloy or sprayed with cemented carbide, with a hardness of HRC50~60, and the wear resistance and high-temperature oxidation performance are significantly improved12.

Sealing reliability
Double gate compensation design : The gap between the double gates is automatically adjusted by springs or wedges to compensate for processing errors and thermal deformation. The sealing surface fit is ≥98% and the leakage rate is less than 0.01%. Low flow resistance design : Full-bore flow channel, flow resistance coefficient ≤0.08, suitable for high-flow medium (such as steam, oil products) .
Operation convenience
Rising stem external thread structure : The valve stem can be raised and lowered visually (rising stem design), which is convenient for judging the valve opening, and the rolling bearing is used to reduce the opening and closing torque (manual operation torque ≤200 N·m). Multi-drive mode : Supports manual, gear drive, electric or pneumatic drive, and is suitable for special installation environments such as underground valve wells .

Applications
Petrochemical industry: Medium cutoff of high-temperature and high-pressure pipelines (≤600℃, PN6.4 MPa), such as the inlet and outlet of the reactor of the refinery unit. Power and municipal administration: Steam pipeline network, water treatment system and buried pipeline (anti-corrosion coating required), which can be opened and closed flexibly after long-term use.
Selection Tips
Sealing form: Double gate forced sealing structure is preferred for medium containing particles (such as coal slurry, sewage) to avoid particle jamming.
For high-temperature working conditions (≥400℃), it is recommended to choose hard alloy sealing surface + elastic gate to compensate for thermal expansion.
Connection method: Flange connection (GB/T9113 standard) is used for conventional pipelines, and socket welding or butt welding ends can be selected for high-pressure scenes
