The gate valve's opening and closing parts are gates, and the gate's movement direction is perpendicular to the fluid direction. The gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate has two sealing surfaces. The most commonly used mode is that the two sealing surfaces of the gate valve form a wedge shape. The wedge angle varies with the valve parameters, usually 5°, and 2°52' when the medium temperature is not high. When the gate valve is closed, the sealing surface can be sealed only by the medium pressure, that is, only by the medium pressure to press the sealing surface of the gate against the valve seat on the other side to ensure the sealing of the sealing surface. This is self-sealing. Most gate valves use forced sealing, that is, when the valve is closed, it is necessary to rely on external force to force the gate to press against the valve seat to ensure the sealing of the sealing surface.

Installation Precautions

1. Before installation, check the inside of the valve cavity and the sealing surface. No dirt or sand is allowed to adhere.

2. Bolts at all connection parts must be tightened evenly.

3. Check the packing parts and tighten them to ensure the sealing of the packing and the flexible opening of the gate.

4. Before installing the valve, the user must check the valve model, connection size and pay attention to the flow direction of the medium to ensure consistency with the valve requirements.

5. When installing the valve, the user must reserve the necessary space for the valve drive.

6. The wiring of the drive device must be carried out according to the circuit diagram.

7. The gate valve must be maintained regularly and must not be collided or squeezed at will to avoid affecting the seal.
