Flange Gate Valve

‌Flanged gate valve‌ is a valve connected by flange. It can realize full opening or closing control of pipeline medium through vertical lifting and lowering movement of gate plate, and cannot be used for flow regulation. Its core structure includes:

‌Valve body and valve cover‌: mostly made of cast steel (such as API standard material) or stainless steel (such as 304/316L), suitable for high temperature and high pressure conditions.
‌Gate plate‌: divided into rigid gate plate (fixed structure) and elastic gate plate (micro-deformation compensation seal), with wear-resistant materials (such as 1Cr13, STL6) welded on the surface to enhance sealing.
‌Sealing component‌: hard seal adopts metal-to-metal contact, while soft seal achieves sealing through elastic deformation of rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

Energy and chemical industry‌: ethylene cracking unit, high-temperature oil and gas pipeline (cast steel hard seal type).
‌Water treatment‌: municipal water supply network (soft seal gate valve to prevent leakage).
‌Pharmaceutical and food‌: aseptic fluid transportation (stainless steel material + PTFE seal).

Maintenance recommendations

‌Seal maintenance‌: soft seals are replaced every 2 years, and hard seals are checked for wear every 1 year.
‌Lubrication management‌: high-temperature grease (such as molybdenum disulfide) is added to the valve stem every 6 months.
‌Operation specification‌: avoid over-torque opening and closing to prevent the gate from getting stuck.
