Forged Steel Gate Valve Description
Forged steel gate valve is a valve that realizes the medium on and off by the vertical movement of the gate. Its opening and closing parts are gates, and the movement direction is perpendicular to the fluid. It only supports full opening or full closing, and cannot adjust the flow.
Sealing method: The gate and the valve seat are pressed by wedge-shaped or parallel sealing surfaces, relying on external force to force sealing. When closing, additional pressure is required to ensure zero leakage.
Driving form: Supports manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic operation, suitable for high pressure (Class 150–2500) and high temperature (-29℃~550℃) working conditions.
Structural type and material properties
Sealing surface form
Wedge gate valve: The gate is wedge-shaped, and the sealing surface is at a certain angle with the vertical center line, which is suitable for high pressure difference media;
Parallel gate valve: Double gate parallel structure, sealing is achieved by spring pre-tightening, mostly used for particle-containing media.
Material selection
Valve body and gate: commonly used forged steel (A105, A216 WCB), stainless steel (F304/F316) or alloy steel (F11/F22), taking into account both pressure resistance and corrosion resistance; Sealing surface treatment: nitriding, hard chrome plating or hard alloy surfacing to improve wear resistance (hardness ≥HRC58).
