Double Disc Gate Valves Description
Double-disc gate valve is a valve that achieves sealing through a double-disc parallel structure. It is specially used for fully open or fully closed working conditions and cannot be used for flow regulation or throttling control. Its opening and closing parts (double-disc gates) are driven by the valve stem to rise and fall vertically. When it is completely out of the flow channel, the pressure drop is close to zero, which is suitable for cutting off or connecting the flow of media.

Main components :
Double-disc gates : Two parallel gates are pre-pressed and sealed by springs or mechanical devices to enhance the sealing force.
Sealing surface :
Ceramic material : The sealing pair is made of structural ceramics (such as alumina and silicon carbide), which is wear-resistant and erosion-resistant.
Metal or soft seal : The hard seal is metal surfacing (such as Stellite 6), and the soft seal can be selected from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
Drive mode : Supports manual (handwheel), pneumatic, electric and other operations.
Typical models:
Z44T/W type: Applicable to industries such as petroleum, chemical, and electric power, with steam, water, and oil media with a nominal pressure of ≤1.0MPa.
Pneumatic double gate valve: Suitable for high dust and strong scouring environments, such as ash conveying systems.
Working principle
Opening and closing mechanism:
Open: The valve stem drives the double gate to rise vertically, completely out of the flow channel, and form an unobstructed passage.
Close: The valve stem pushes the double gate down, and the spring preload makes the gate fit tightly with the valve seat to achieve a two-way seal.
Seal enhancement:
Low-pressure seal: Rely on the spring preload to form an initial seal.
High-pressure seal: The medium pressure pushes the gate to further press the valve seat, and the sealing effect increases with the increase of pressure.
