Electric Knife Gate Valves

Electric knife gate valve uses the knife-shaped gate as the core component. The electric actuator drives the gate to move vertically to open and close the medium. It is specially used for the cut-off control of high-viscosity media containing suspended particles, fibers, slurry, etc., and has strong cutting ability and low flow resistance. The core design includes:

Gate design:

Blade-shaped structure: The front end of the gate is blade-shaped, which can cut impurities such as fibers and pulp to prevent blockage.

Material reinforcement: 304/316 stainless steel or surface chrome plating, wear resistance increased by 30%~50%.

Sealing system:

Soft seal type: EPDM/PTFE valve seat, leakage level reaches ANSI VI level, suitable for ≤100℃ clean media.

Hard seal type: The gate is welded with hard alloy (such as iron-based alloy), temperature resistance ≤425℃, suitable for working conditions containing ash and particles.
‌Drive configuration‌:
The electric actuator supports AC380V power supply, protection level IP65 (explosion-proof type up to DⅡBT4/DⅡCT4), and can be remotely controlled‌.

Application and selection suggestions

Coal preparation/mining system‌:
Preferably choose hard-sealed stainless steel gate discs (such as Z973H-16C), which are resistant to particle erosion and have a service life of ≥5 years‌. ‌Sewage treatment/papermaking industry‌:
Adapt to soft-sealed fluorine-lined type (such as D641F-10P), DN200-DN500 models can effectively cut off fiber impurities‌. ‌

High-temperature steam/chemical pipelines‌:
Select a three-eccentric multi-level hard seal structure, with a pressure resistance of PN25, a temperature resistance of 425℃, and a leakage level of ANSI V level‌. ‌

Selection considerations‌:

‌Medium characteristics‌: For particle-containing media, a knife-edge gate disc + hard seal combination is required; for clean liquids, PTFE soft seals are optional‌. ‌Automation requirements‌: Explosion-proof scenarios require DⅡBT4-level electric actuators, and manual emergency operation functions are reserved‌.
