Resilient Seat Cast iron Gate Valve Description
Resilient seat cast iron gate valve is a cut-off valve that uses gray cast iron (HT250) or ductile iron (QT450) as the valve body material and achieves sealing through the elastic valve seat (rubber/EPDM overall coating). It is widely used in water treatment, fire protection and industrial piping systems. Its core structure includes:
Valve body: cast iron casting, epoxy resin coating sprayed on the inner cavity to enhance corrosion resistance, and the flow channel adopts a flat bottom design to reduce impurity accumulation.
Gate: overall coated with rubber or EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber), compensating for sealing surface wear through elastic deformation, suitable for DN50-DN600 caliber.
Valve seat: forms a soft sealing structure with the gate, the leakage level can reach level VI, and supports two-way sealing.
Drive mode: manual (rising stem/dark stem) or pneumatic, dark stem structure saves installation space.
Working principle
Opening and closing mechanism: The handwheel or actuator drives the valve stem to rise and fall, and the gate moves vertically to achieve full opening (full bore) or full closing (elastic seal). Self-cleaning function: The flat-bottomed valve seat design avoids impurity deposition, and the surface attachments are removed by elastic extrusion of the rubber coating when the gate is closed.
Performance characteristics High sealing: The rubber-coated gate and valve seat are softly sealed and can withstand 1.1 times the nominal pressure (PN16/PN25) without leakage.
Corrosion resistance: The inner cavity of the epoxy resin coated valve body can withstand sewage, weak acid and chloride ion media with a pH of 6-9, and the service life is ≥10 years.
Lightweight: It is 20%-30% lighter than traditional cast iron gate valves, and is easy to install and maintain.
Low flow resistance: The full-bore design flow coefficient (Cv value) is increased by 15%-30%, and the pressure loss is ≤0.03MPa.
