Manual Knife Gate Valves

Manual knife gate valve (also known as manual knife gate valve or plug valve) is a valve that controls the flow of fluid by manual operation. Its opening and closing parts are knife-shaped or wedge-shaped gate plates, and the movement direction is perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid. It is usually only used for full-open or full-closed fluid cutoff control.

Working principle
‌Opening and closing process‌:
When closing, turn the hand wheel to push the valve stem down, the gate moves down along the valve body guide rail, fits tightly with the valve seat, and cuts off the flow of the medium‌;
When opening, turn the hand wheel in the opposite direction, the gate moves up and leaves the valve seat, and the medium flow is restored‌.
‌Sealing mechanism‌:
Relying on the medium pressure to press the gate against the valve seat to form a self-seal, reducing the risk of leakage‌;
The elastic gate can automatically compensate for the deviation of the sealing surface and improve the sealing reliability‌.
