Piston Lift Check Valve

Piston lift check valve is a variant of the lift check valve. Its valve disc is designed to be similar to a piston structure. The valve disc is driven up and down by the medium pressure to achieve one-way flow control and prevent the medium from flowing back. Its aliases include:

Piston check valve: named because the valve disc is like a piston;

Vertical/horizontal check valve: classified according to the installation direction.

Structural features
‌Valve flap design‌:
The piston-shaped valve flap has a large contact surface with the valve seat, and the sealing performance is better than the traditional lifting structure;
Some models use a conical valve flap design to reduce fluid resistance;
‌Valve body structure‌:
Vertical or horizontal installation, must strictly match the pipeline direction;
Small diameter (DN≤40mm) is common, suitable for high-pressure clean fluids (such as water, steam);
‌Material adaptation‌:
Valve body: cast steel (conventional working conditions), stainless steel (corrosive media);
Sealing surface: hard alloy surfacing (high temperature and high pressure), PTFE (corrosion resistant)

‌Key points for selection‌:
Preferably choose a horizontal structure with spring assistance to reduce dependence on the installation direction;
Avoid using with media containing particles (piston structure is prone to jamming);
‌Installation requirements‌:
Before installation, the pipeline must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent welding slag from scratching the sealing surface;
When installing vertically, ensure that the gravity direction of the valve disc is consistent with the flow direction of the medium.
