electric check valve Description
Electric check valve is a check device that controls the opening and closing of the valve disc through an electric actuator. It has both the one-way shut-off function of a traditional check valve and the remote automation control capability of an electric valve. Its core functions include:
Anti-medium backflow: Relying on the sealing structure of the valve disc and the valve seat to prevent the reverse flow of the medium;
Intelligent opening and closing: Receiving external signals (such as PLC instructions) through the electric actuator to achieve precise opening and closing of the valve.
Core components
Valve body: Mostly adopts a three-piece stainless steel structure (left valve cover + middle valve body + right valve cover), which is fastened by bolts to enhance sealing;
Valve disc: Lifting or swing design, the sealing surface is covered with fluoroplastic/rubber layer, suitable for corrosive media;
Electric actuator: Integrated motor, worm gear transmission device, supports 4~20mA signal or digital command control.
Working principle
Forward flow: The medium pressure pushes the valve disc open to allow circulation; Reverse backflow or active closure: The electric actuator drives the valve disc to force closure to block backflow (traditional check valves rely on medium pressure and deadweight, while electric check valves can actively intervene).

Advantages
High reliability: The electric actuator can force the valve disc to close, avoiding the failure of the traditional check valve due to impurities blocking; Long life: The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is better than that of cast iron/carbon steel valves.
Limitations
Dependence on external power supply: When the power is off, it needs to rely on backup power or mechanical structure to maintain function; High cost: The electric actuator and split structure make the price higher than ordinary check valves
