Carbon Steel Check Valve Description
Carbon steel check valve is a one-way flow control valve with carbon steel (C material code) as the main valve body material. It prevents the backflow of the medium by automatically opening and closing the valve disc, and is suitable for general industrial scenarios.
Its core features include:
High strength and strong economy: Carbon steel is harder than cast iron, cheaper than stainless steel, and suitable for conventional pressure (such as PN16~63) working conditions;
Limited temperature resistance: The operating temperature range is usually -29℃ to 425℃, and chromium-molybdenum steel or alloy materials are required for high temperature environments;
Weak corrosion resistance: It is susceptible to corrosion by chemical media (such as acids, alkalis) or seawater, and the protection ability needs to be improved through surface coating or lining materials (such as PTFE).

Selection tips
Pressure level:
PN16~40 is selected for normal working conditions, and chrome-molybdenum steel valve body is required for high-pressure scenes (such as steam systems);
Medium characteristics:
Swing type or fluorine-lined valve is preferred for medium containing particles;
Corrosive fluids need to be lined with PTFE or use stainless steel sealing surface;
Connection method:
Flange connection (code 4) is suitable for conventional pipelines, and wafer type (code 7) saves installation space.
