Hydraulic Control Butterfly Valve Description
Hydraulic Control Butterfly Valve is a specialized type of butterfly valve, primarily used in pump outlet and turbine inlet pipeline systems. It combines the functions of a shut-off valve and check valve, preventing medium backflow and water hammer effects. It is widely applied in water conservancy, power generation, and chemical industries.
The valves are classified into three types based on their drive mechanisms:
Pressure-holding type
Locking type
Energy-storage type
The pressure-holding type and locking type are hydraulically driven to open and rely on counterweight potential energy to close. The energy-storage type replaces the counterweight with an accumulator, resulting in a more compact structure.
The valve's operation process includes three stages: opening, locking, and closing. The hydraulic system drives the butterfly plate to rotate and lifts the counterweight to store energy during the opening phase. Mechanical and electromagnetic dual-locking mechanisms ensure the valve remains stably in the fully open position. During the closing phase, the valve automatically closes following a preset sequence of fast closing, buffering, and slow closing, with adjustable closing speed and angle. The system supports manual operation, fault triggering, or power failure activation.
