Three-piece Ball Valve

Three-piece ball valve is a valve with a three-section split valve body structure. It realizes the opening and closing control of the medium by rotating the ball. It has the advantages of convenient maintenance and reliable sealing. It is widely used in fluid control in the petroleum, chemical, power and food industries.

Core structure and working principle

Split design:

Valve body composition: The middle valve body and the valve covers on both sides are connected by bolts, which is convenient for disassembly, cleaning and parts replacement.

Sealing structure: The ball and the valve seat are made of elastic materials (such as PTFE, EPDM) or metal hard seals, and the leakage level is ≤10 ppm.

Drive mode:

Operation type: Supports manual, pneumatic (with CP series actuators) or electric drive to meet the opening and closing speed requirements of different working conditions.

Rotation angle: The ball can be fully opened or fully closed by rotating 90°, with a short response time (0.5~5 seconds).

Working principle‌:
The valve stem drives the ball to rotate. When the ball hole is aligned with the pipeline, the medium flows, and when it is vertical, it is completely cut off.
When pneumatically driven, compressed air (0.4~0.6 MPa) pushes the actuator piston to achieve rapid control‌.

Oil and natural gas cut-off and flow distribution in petrochemical pipelines ‌.
High-temperature steam system (pressure resistance up to PN40, temperature ≤350℃) ‌.

Clean and sanitary system ‌:
Food and beverage production lines (such as milk and juice filling) use mirror-polished stainless steel valve bodies ‌.
Anti-pollution isolation of high-purity solvents and liquid medicines in pharmaceutical equipment ‌.

Special media scenarios ‌:
Safe control of hazardous gases such as oxygen and hydrogen peroxide (anti-static design required) ‌.
For pipelines for conveying highly corrosive media (such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid), fully lined PTFE valve bodies are selected.
