Pneumatic Floating Ball Valves Description
Pneumatic floating ball valve is a valve that opens and closes by driving a floating ball through a pneumatic actuator. The ball automatically presses against the outlet sealing ring under the action of medium pressure to form a two-way seal. It is suitable for water, steam, oil, corrosive media and other scenarios.
Working principle
The pneumatic actuator drives the valve stem to rotate 90° through compressed air, driving the floating ball to rotate to achieve opening and closing, with fast response speed and small operating torque.
At low pressure, it relies on the medium pressure to self-tighten the seal; at high pressure, the ball is subjected to the thrust of the medium to enhance the sealing effect, and the leakage rate is ≤0.01mL/min.

Main structure
Valve body and ball: The material can be selected from 304/316L stainless steel or carbon steel (WCB), the ball surface is polished (Ra≤0.8μm) and hard chrome plated to enhance corrosion resistance.
Seal design:
Soft seal: PTFE or reinforced graphite seal ring, temperature resistant -29℃~200℃
Hard seal: Metal seal ring (such as Stellite alloy), temperature resistant up to 540℃, suitable for medium containing particles.
Drive mode: Pneumatic actuator (single-acting/double-acting), optional manual worm gear or electric actuator.

Selection and maintenance recommendations
Selection points
Media matching:
For highly corrosive media, choose 316L stainless steel + hard seal.
For particle-containing media, choose V-shaped cut sphere or metal seal structure.
Pressure level:
Soft seal is preferred for low-pressure systems (PN16~PN40).
For high-pressure/high-temperature scenarios (PN63 and above), choose hard seal.
Maintenance recommendations
Lubrication and maintenance: Apply high-temperature grease (such as silicone grease) to the valve stem threads and guide grooves regularly.
Replacement of seal ring: Check the wear of PTFE seal ring every 3 years, and shorten it to 1~2 years for high-pressure conditions.
