The pressure in the pipeline helps to seal the ball. When the medium pressure is low, the contact area between the sealing ring and the ball is small, ensuring high sealing specific pressure for reliable sealing. When the medium pressure is high, the contact area increases, allowing the sealing ring to withstand greater medium thrust without damage. For low-pressure ball valves, where medium pressure cannot ensure reliable seat sealing and pre-tightening force diminishes over time, the valve is designed with a lip-shaped seat. This design uses elastic deformation principles to ensure reliable sealing performance and reduced torque.
