V-port Ball Valves Description

 

The pneumatic V-shaped ball valve is derived from the globe valve. It features the same 90-degree rotary action; however, the plug body is a sphere with a circular through hole or passage along its axis. The ratio of the spherical surface to the port opening should be such that when the ball rotates 90 degrees, the spherical surface should be fully presented at the inlet and outlet, thereby cutting off the flow.

The pneumatic V-shaped ball valve is primarily used in pipelines for rapid cut-off, distribution, and changing the flow direction of the medium. The pneumatic ball valve, a new type of valve widely adopted in recent years, has the following advantages:

1. Low fluid resistance, with a resistance coefficient equal to that of a pipe section of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size, and lightweight.
3. Tight and reliable sealing. The sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely made of plastic, providing good sealing performance, and it is also widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, with quick opening and closing. It only requires a 90° rotation from fully open to fully closed, facilitating remote control.
5. Easy maintenance. The pneumatic ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement convenient.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and valve seat is isolated from the medium, preventing erosion of the valve's sealing surface as the medium passes through.
7. Wide application range, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and suitable for both high vacuum and high-pressure conditions.
