Carbon Steel Trunnion Ball Valve

Carbon steel trunnion ball valve is a ball valve made of carbon steel. Its core component is the ball, which is fixed by the upper and lower trunnions (support shafts). This design prevents the ball from moving with the fluid pressure during operation, so that it can withstand greater pressure and reduce wear on the valve seat.⁣

Carbon Steel Trunnion Ball Valve Description

 

Carbon steel trunnion ball valve is an industrial valve that uses a carbon steel valve body (such as WCB material) and integrates a trunnion-fixed ball structure. It can accurately cut off the fluid by rotating the ball 90°. It is designed for high-pressure and harsh working conditions.

Structural features
The core structural design of the carbon steel trunnion ball valve enhances stability and sealing:

Trunion support system: The ball is fixed in the valve body through the upper and lower trunnions (rigid support shaft). The ball has no displacement under high pressure to avoid misalignment and wear of the sealing surface; the valve stem has an anti-flying structure to prevent the component from spraying out when overpressure occurs.

Bidirectional sealing valve seat: Spring preloaded valve seat (PTFE soft seal or Stellite alloy hard seal), which automatically compensates for wear after being pressurized to achieve bidirectional zero leakage under Class 600 working conditions.

Full bore/reduced bore flow channel: Full bore (100% pipeline flow) or reduced bore flow channel (reducing valve volume and cost) can be selected according to the working conditions.
Carbon steel valve body reinforcement: ASTM A216 Gr.WCB cast valve body, surface hardening treatment, pressure resistance up to 32MPa (Class 2500), applicable temperature -29℃~425℃.

Connection method: Flange (ASME B16.5), welding end (ASME B16.25) or threaded connection.
