ASTM A105N Ball Valve Description
ASTM A105N ball valve is a valve manufactured using ASTM A105N material. ASTM A105N is a standard for forged carbon steel piping components suitable for normal and high temperature services. This material is a low carbon steel forging with good machinability and weldability.

Ball valve main structure
Common forms include three-piece forged steel structure (the valve body consists of two flanges and a middle ball), which is easy to disassemble and maintain.
There is also a fully welded buried structure with strong sealing, suitable for underground projects such as oil and gas pipelines.
Key design
The valve seat seal is made of nickel-plated 316 material or polymer material, which has corrosion resistance, fire resistance, anti-sulfurization and static dissipation capabilities.
The flow form supports full-bore or reduced-bore design.

ASTM A105N material
It is a carbon steel forging that complies with the American Society for Testing and Materials standard (ASTM A105).
"N" means that the steel has been normalized, that is, it is heated at high temperature and then slowly cooled to refine the grains, improve toughness and mechanical strength.
The main alloying elements (such as silicon, chromium, molybdenum, etc.) can enhance hardness and wear resistance, but the corrosion resistance is weak.
