ISO 5211 Direct Mounted Ball Valves Description
ISO 5211 direct mounted ball valves are ISO 5211 compliant valves with a standardised interface platform on the top for direct mounting of electric and pneumatic actuators without the need for additional brackets. Designed to simplify the actuator installation process and enhance system compatibility, these ball valves are widely used in high-pressure, high-temperature and severe media control scenarios. Its core features include:
Standardised interfaces: actuators and valves are directly connected to each other, adapting to a variety of brands of actuators and reducing maintenance costs;
Frictionless opening and closing: the ball and the valve seat are out of contact during operation, reducing sealing surface wear;
High sealing grade: forced sealing mechanism (mechanical wedging + fluid assist) ensures zero leakage (sealing grade up to VI).
Core structure and design features
Key Component Design
High platform interface:
The top of the valve body is machined into a square or round platform that meets ISO 5211 standards, providing bolt hole locations and dimensional specifications to support seamless actuator mounting;
Platform heights and hole spacing are standardised to accommodate multi-rotary or partially rotary actuators.
Sealing System:
Dual sealing mechanism: when closing the valve stem down the ball to form a mechanically forced seal, fluid pressure to further assist in enhancing the sealing effect;
Seat material: metal hard seal (tungsten carbide spray) high temperature and high pressure resistance (-101 ℃ ~ 815 ℃), soft seal (PTFE) chemical corrosion resistance.
Safety protection:
Stem anti-flying out structure to prevent the medium pressure from ejecting the stem;
Fireproof design (e.g. graphite packing) ensures safety under high temperature working conditions.
Operation Procedure
Open: rotate the valve stem counterclockwise, the ball lifts off the seat and rotates 90°, the flow path is fully open;
Closing: rotate the valve stem clockwise, the ball resets and then presses down to form a seal.
