Description
Top entry trunnion mounted ball valve is a trunnion mounted ball valve with top mounted inlet design. Its core structural features include:
Valve body and ball fixing method:
The ball is fixed to the valve seat through upper and lower rotating shafts, the lower part is supported by a fixed shaft, and the upper part is connected to the valve stem. During operation, the ball only rotates without displacement to prevent the valve seat from being subjected to excessive pressure;
The top inlet design usually adopts flange or threaded connection to facilitate pipeline installation and maintenance.
Sealing system:
Equipped with a two-way sealing valve seat (such as PTFE soft seal or Stellite alloy hard seal), the leakage level reaches ANSI VI level, and the applicable media include water, steam, corrosive liquids, etc.;
The spring preloaded valve seat assembly provides a self-tightening function to enhance the sealing stability under high pressure conditions.
Drive and execution:
The valve stem is connected to the actuator (manual, pneumatic or electric) through the top inlet, the rotation angle is 90°, and the opening and closing time is ≤0.05 seconds;
Anti-static and fireproof structural design, suitable for flammable and explosive media scenes.

Selection and Installation Points
Selection Basis:
When the medium contains chloride ions>50ppm, duplex steel (2205/2507) or Hastelloy alloy valve body is preferred;
High-pressure (≥16MPa) scenarios require an integral forged valve body to avoid the risk of weld leakage.
Installation Specifications:
Flange connections require diagonal tightening bolts with a pre-tightening force of ≤200N·m to prevent valve body deformation;
The coaxiality error between the actuator and the valve stem is ≤0.1mm to ensure smooth opening and closing.
