When to use a spring check valve

A spring check valve is a check valve that relies on spring force to close the valve disc. The following are some scenarios where spring check valves are suitable:

Occasions with high requirements for sealing performance: When the spring check valve is closed, the spring can provide a stable elastic force to make the valve disc fit closely with the valve seat, thereby achieving a good sealing effect. For example, in some chemical production processes, it is necessary to prevent the backflow of corrosive media, and the sealing requirements are extremely high. The use of spring check valves can effectively prevent media leakage and protect equipment and pipelines.
Occasions where quick closure is required to prevent water hammer: The valve disc of the spring check valve can be quickly closed under the action of spring force to reduce the occurrence of water hammer. For example, in some water supply systems, when the water pump suddenly stops running, the water flow rate in the pipeline will change rapidly, which is prone to water hammer. Installing a spring check valve can quickly close and reduce the impact of water hammer on pipelines and equipment.

Occasions with limited installation space: The structure of the spring check valve is relatively compact and occupies less space. In some narrow pipeline spaces or equipment, spring check valves can be easily installed to meet the requirements of space restrictions. For example, in some small water treatment equipment or air conditioning systems, the pipeline space is limited, and the spring check valve is a more appropriate choice.
Occasions where frequent opening and closing are required: The opening and closing action of the spring check valve mainly depends on the spring force and the medium pressure, and the opening and closing process is relatively fast and stable. In some pipeline systems that need to be opened and closed frequently, such as some circulating water systems or intermittently operated pipelines, the spring check valve can adapt to frequent opening and closing operations to ensure the normal operation of the system.
Occasions where the requirements for fluid resistance are not high: The fluid resistance of the spring check valve is relatively small, and it will not cause too much obstruction to the flow of fluid in the pipeline. In some pipeline systems where the requirements for fluid resistance are not high, such as some low-pressure water supply pipes or drainage pipes, the spring check valve can meet the requirements of fluid flow, while also preventing the backflow of the medium.
