- First, the definition and working principle
Definition: forged steel gate valve closure (gate) along the path of the centre line of the vertical direction of movement, through the lift of the gate to achieve the opening or closing of the media channel.
Working principle: the valve stem rotates to drive the gate up and down movement, fully open when the gate and seat separation so that the media flow, closed when the gate and seat to form a sealing space to block the media. It only supports fully open or fully closed state, can not be used for flow regulation or throttling.

Structure: The main parts include valve body, valve cover, valve stem, gate, etc., using forging process to enhance mechanical strength; common models include Z11Y, Z41Y, Z61Y, etc.
