What is a parallel sliding gate valve

Parallel sliding gate valve is a kind of industrial valve, mainly used to control the flow of fluid. It achieves opening and closing functions through a gate parallel to the axis of the pipeline. This design reduces fluid resistance and improves the flow capacity and sealing performance of the valve. The main components of the parallel sliding gate valve include:

Valve body: usually made of cast iron, cast steel or stainless steel to house the internal components and connect to the pipeline.
Gate: a flat plate parallel to the axis of the pipeline that controls the passage of fluid by moving up and down.
Stem: Connects the gate plate to the handwheel (or actuator) and is used to transmit the operating force.
Handwheel/actuator: A manual or automatic device used to actuate the movement of the stem and gate.
Seals: Includes seals on the valve seat and gate plate to ensure the sealing performance of the valve in the closed state.
In addition, parallel sliding gate valves have self-positioning sealing surfaces that maintain the sealing performance of the seat in the event of thermal deformation of the valve body, and the thermal elongation of the valve stem does not overload the sealing surfaces when the valve is closed in the cold state. These valves are also suitable for use with travel-limiting electric actuators, providing a high degree of operational flexibility and reliability.
