1. Preparation before installation
Check specifications and check equipment
Confirm that the butterfly valve model and size match the pipeline, and check whether the valve body, seals and electric actuator are intact and free of rust or damage.
Clean the oil and impurities on the pipeline joints and flange surfaces to ensure that the contact surfaces are clean.
Tool and material preparation
Prepare tools such as bolts, nuts, gaskets, wrenches, screwdrivers, spot welding equipment, etc.
It is recommended to install the electric butterfly valve in the forward direction (not inverted), leaving enough space for operation and maintenance.
2. Main body installation steps
Pre-fixing the flange
Place the butterfly valve between the two flanges, adjust the position of the flange and the sealing gasket, and ensure that the flange holes are aligned.
Insert the bolts and tighten them slightly. After correcting the parallelism of the flange, spot weld the fixed flange to the pipeline.
Welding and valve resetting
Remove the valve and complete the full-circle welding of the flange and the pipeline to avoid high temperature damage to the seal.
Reinstall the butterfly valve after the weld has cooled down, ensuring that the valve body can move slightly between the flanges to avoid deformation under stress.
Bolt tightening
Tighten the bolts step by step in diagonal order, and apply force evenly until the sealing surface is completely fitted to prevent local leakage or butterfly plate jamming.
3. Electrical wiring
Connect the power supply and control line
Connect the power line (L/N) to the actuator terminal according to the wiring diagram, and connect the control signal line (+/-) to the controller.
The stripping length is about 1/3 of the terminal socket. Use a screwdriver to fix the terminal to ensure that it is not loose.
Preliminary function verification
After power on, test the actuator switch action to confirm that the butterfly plate opens and closes smoothly without jamming or abnormal noise.
4. Testing and debugging
Sealing test
Close the butterfly valve, inject the medium into the pipeline and pressurize it, check whether the flange and valve stem are leaking, and readjust the bolts if necessary.
Operation stability verification
Operate the butterfly valve 3 to 5 times in full stroke, observe the consistency between the opening indication and the actual position, and calibrate the limit switch.
Test the flow regulation performance under simulated working conditions to ensure that the response accuracy of the electric actuator meets the requirements.
5. Precautions
It is forbidden to weld the pipe directly after the valve is installed to avoid high temperature damage to the sealing material.
For medium containing particles, a filter should be installed before the valve to prevent scratches on the butterfly plate and valve seat.
During regular maintenance, check the tightening status of the bolts and the aging of the seals, and replace the worn parts in time.
