The two-piece threaded ball valve is an instrument-type valve used in industrial pipeline systems for fully open and fully closed control of media. It consists of a valve body and a bonnet, and its opening and closing function is achieved by rotating the ball 90°. Compared to traditional one-piece ball valves, its bonnet structure improves sealing performance and significantly reduces the risk of leakage.

This valve has a nominal pressure range of 1.6-6.4 MPa and an applicable temperature range of -20℃ to 350℃. It can transport water, oil, gas, and corrosive liquids. The valve body can be made of stainless steel, carbon steel, etc., and the seals are commonly made of PTFE or elastic materials. It supports various thread standards such as G/NPT/BSPT and can be expanded to include butt welding and socket welding connections. Some models are equipped with a reverse-sealing stem and ISO standard brackets to prevent abnormal pressure surges and adapt to special installation requirements.

2-Piece Threaded Ball Valve Structure and Features

Two-Piece Valve Body Design

Structure: The valve body consists of an upper and lower section connected by bolts or clips, with the ball and seat held in between.

Easy Assembly and Disassembly: The valve body can be separated by loosening the connecting bolts without disassembling the pipeline, facilitating internal maintenance or seal replacement.

Sealing Performance: O-rings or metal gaskets are used at the valve body connections to ensure no leakage.

Threaded Connection Methods

Internal Thread (G/NPT/BSPP): Suitable for small to medium-sized pipelines; directly screwed into the pipeline for quick installation.

External Thread (BSPT/NPT): Adaptable to special pipeline designs, offering high flexibility.

Dual Thread Option: Some models support one internal thread and one external thread, providing greater adaptability.

Core Components of the Ball Valve

Ball: Hollow design with a surface hardening treatment (such as tungsten carbide coating), wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.

Valve seat: Hard metal seal (STL alloy) or soft-hard composite seal (metal + PTFE), adaptable to different media and operating conditions.

Valve stem: Anti-blowout design, equipped with anti-static device to ensure safety under high pressure.
