Forged Y Globe Valve

Forged Y Globe Valve is a specially designed valve with a Y-shaped body, hence its name. This type of valve is commonly used in piping systems to control the flow direction and flow rate of fluids (e.g. water, steam, oil, etc.). Compared with traditional straight-through globe valves, Y-globe valves have smaller flow resistance and better flow performance, and are suitable for high pressure difference and high flow rate working environment.

Structural features:

Y-shape flow channel design

Valve body channel is 45 ° oblique angle (Y-shaped), to achieve close to straight flow path, significantly reducing the fluid resistance and the medium on the sealing surface of the scouring.

Seat set in the throat of the valve body, the sealing surface adopts a conical structure to reduce impurity retention and protect the sealing surface.

Forged valve body material

The valve body is made of forged steel (such as A105, F22, F91, etc.), through the forging process to enhance the material density and mechanical strength, suitable for high temperature and high pressure environment.

Compared with casting valves, forged steel valves have higher pressure capacity (up to Class 2500LB/42MPa) and erosion resistance.

Advantages

Self-sealing design

Adopting threaded bonnet or internal pressure self-tightening bonnet structure, the higher the pressure, the more reliable sealing.

The sealing surface is often overlay welded with Stellite alloy to enhance the resistance to scuffing and erosion.

Dual throttling design

The secondary throttling surface disperses the medium energy and reduces the direct scouring of the main sealing surface.
