DIN Standard Cast Steel Globe Valve

DIN cast steel globe valve closing mechanism is called the disc or valve plug and can be machined into many different shapes. By changing the shape of the valve disc, the flow rate through the valve can vary greatly based on the number of turns of the valve stem when the valve is open. The more common or "traditional" curved disc design is used in most applications because it accommodates the given movement (rotation) of the valve stem better than other designs. V-port discs are designed for fine flow throttling through various opening percentages and are suitable for all sizes of globe valves. Needle types are designed for absolute flow regulation, but are usually only available in smaller sizes. When absolute closure is required, a soft elastic insert can be installed in the valve disc or seat.
