ASTM A217 WC6 Globe Valve Description
ASTM A217 WC6 globe valve is a forced seal valve designed for high temperature and high pressure conditions with a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel casting valve body.
Valve body and valve cover
It is cast with ASTM A217 WC6 chromium-molybdenum steel (containing Cr 1.0-1.5%, Mo 0.45-0.65%), normalized + tempered, and the high temperature strength retention rate is >80% (538℃).
Valve disc sealing structure:
The conical sealing surface is welded with hard alloy (such as Stellite 6), with a thickness of ≥2mm and a hardness of up to HRC55-60;
The valve disc and the valve stem are rigidly connected through a T-slot to prevent high pressure impact from falling off.
Transmission and sealing system
The valve stem is forged with chromium-molybdenum steel, and the surface is nitrided to enhance wear resistance;
Flexible graphite + stainless steel winding packing, temperature resistant to 550℃ and meets ANSI VI grade sealing standards.

- Applicable temperature: -29°C ~ 570℃ (short-term peak 593℃);
- Nominal diameter: DN15~DN200 (casting process limitation);
- Sealing standard: Pass API 598 high pressure test (zero leakage);
- Connection method: Flange end complies with ASME B16.5, socket welding/butt welding optional.
