API 623 Globe Valves

API 623 is the first special standard for steel globe valves issued by the American Petroleum Institute (API) in 2013. Its full name is "Steel globe Valve-Flanged End and Butt-Weld End, Bolted Bonnet". This standard fills the gap in the industry and provides a unified specification for high-pressure sealing needs in industrial fields such as petroleum and chemical industries, replacing the traditional British BS 1873 standard.
‌ Applicable working conditions ‌:

Suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments, such as steam, sulfur-containing oil and gas and corrosive medium pipelines;

The design goal is to improve the shortcomings of traditional globe valves in high-pressure sealing and improve valve reliability.

‌ Diameter and pressure level ‌:

‌ Diameter range ‌: 2 inches to 24 inches (DN50~DN600);
‌ Pressure level ‌: Covering Class 150~2500 (corresponding to PN16~PN420).
