BS 1873 Cast Steel Globe Valve

BS 1873 is a special specification for steel stop valves and stop check valves in the British Standard. Its full name is "Steel stop valves and stop check valves for petroleum, petrochemical and related industries (flange end and butt welding end)". This standard specifies the design, manufacturing and testing requirements of flange-connected and butt-welded steel stop valves, which are suitable for medium cutoff and anti-backflow control in industrial pipeline systems such as petroleum and chemical industries.

‌Valve body design ‌:

‌Forced sealing mechanism ‌: The valve disc and the valve seat sealing surface are tightly fitted through the valve stem pressure to achieve medium cutoff; ‌Flow direction control ‌: Usually "low inlet and high outlet" or "high inlet and low outlet" design is adopted, and the flow direction marking must be strictly followed during installation.
‌Connection form ‌:

‌Flange end ‌: Meets the ANSIB16.5 flange standard and is suitable for general pipeline systems; ‌Butt welding end ‌: Used for high-pressure or high-temperature pipelines, and welding connection improves sealing reliability.
‌Flow channel type‌:

‌Straight-through type‌: small fluid resistance, suitable for conventional media;
‌Right-angle type‌: suitable for pipeline layout with limited space.
