API 602 Y Globe Valve

API 602 Y-type globe valve is a forged steel valve that complies with the API 602 standard of the American Petroleum Institute. Its valve body is designed with a Y-shaped flow channel. The high-pressure medium is cut off or regulated by the linear motion of the valve disc. It is specially developed for harsh working conditions such as petrochemical and electric power.

‌Design Standard‌

Main specification: ‌API 602‌ (forged steel valve design and manufacturing);
Pressure-temperature grade: ‌ASME B16.34‌ (up to CLASS 2500LB/42MPa).
‌Structural requirements‌

Structural length: compact design, in accordance with ‌ASME B16.10‌;
Connection method: ‌Socket welding (ASME B16.11)‌ or ‌Butt welding (ASME B16.25)‌, DN≤50mm preferred to socket welding.
‌Material and Process‌

Body material: forged steel ‌A105 (carbon steel), ‌F304/F316L (stainless steel), ‌WC6/WC9 (chrome-molybdenum steel);

Sealing surface: ‌Stellite 6/21 cobalt-based alloy cladding, hardness ≥HRC 55;

Inspection standard: ‌API 598 VI level‌ zero leakage test (leakage rate ≤0.01ml/min).
