API 602 Pressure Seal Globe Valve

API 602 pressure seal globe valve is a kind of small diameter, high pressure forged steel globe valve in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standard 602, designed for high temperature and high pressure working conditions. Its core feature is the use of system media pressure to enhance the sealing performance of the valve (pressure self-tight seal).

Structural features

Valve body and bonnet connection (pressure self-sealing structure):

Bonnet and valve body using pressure self-sealing design, internal media pressure on the flexible graphite gasket or metal gasket, the greater the pressure the tighter the seal.

Encapsulated gasket structure simplifies maintenance, without the need for traditional flange bolt fastening.

Seal design:

Seat and flap: the seat ring is fixed to the valve body with threads, and the flap sealing surface is surfaced with hard alloy (e.g. Stellite alloy) or ceramics, which is resistant to scouring and corrosion.

Stem seal: optional packing seal (flexible graphite/PTFE) or bellows seal (zero leakage for toxic/flammable media).

Connection method:

Socket weld (SW) or butt weld (BW) ports are provided as standard for high-pressure small-diameter pipelines (usually DN≤50mm/NPS≤2").

Driving method:

Manual (handwheel), pneumatic or electric actuators to meet different operational requirements.
