Through Conduit Gate Valve Description
Through conduit gate valve is a gate valve with a full-pass flow channel design. When the gate is opened, it is completely separated from the fluid channel, forming an unobstructed straight flow channel. The pressure drop is extremely small (negligible) when the fluid passes through. This type of valve is designed for full-open/full-closed fluid blocking and is not suitable for flow regulation.
Flow channel design
Full-bore structure: The inner cavity of the valve body is consistent with the inner diameter of the pipeline. After the gate is lifted to the top of the valve cavity, the fluid can pass through without obstruction, reducing turbulence and energy loss.
Bidirectional sealing: When the gate contacts the sealing surface of the valve seat, bidirectional cutoff is achieved through medium pressure or mechanical preload, which is suitable for pipeline systems with forward or reverse flow.
Key components
Bonnet connection: The bonnet and the valve body are connected by bolt flanges (such as ANSI standard flanges), which is convenient for disassembly and maintenance of sealing gaskets or internal components.
Gate type:
Wedge-shaped single gate: The valve seat is forced to be pressed by the wedge angle, which is suitable for medium and low pressure clean media.
Parallel double gate: The sealing surface error is compensated by springs or mechanical wedges, and it is resistant to high pressure and particle-containing media.
Performance advantages
Low flow resistance: The flow resistance coefficient in the fully open state is only 0.1~0.2, which is suitable for long-distance pipelines or high flow rate scenarios.
High sealing: The sealing surface is welded with hard alloy (such as Stellite), with a hardness of HRC50~60, resistant to erosion and corrosion.

Applications
Petrochemical industry: inlet and outlet pipelines of reactors in oil refining units, suitable for sulfur-containing oil and gas media (NACE MR0175 certified materials are required).
Municipal water supply and drainage: urban water supply trunk pipes and sewage treatment plants, using full-bore design to reduce head loss.
Power system: steam pipe network and boiler feed water pipeline, resistant to high temperature (≤425℃) and high pressure (PN6.4 MPa) conditions.
Selection and operation precautions
Working condition adaptation: For medium containing particles, the parallel double gate + hard seal structure is preferred to avoid jamming.
For high temperature scenes, cast steel (WCB) or forged steel (A105) valve body should be selected, and matched with high temperature bolt material (such as B7 alloy steel).
Operation specification: It is forbidden to operate in a half-open state for a long time to prevent high-speed fluid from eroding the sealing surface.
The manual operation torque must be controlled within ≤200 N·m. A gearbox or electric actuator is recommended for high torque scenarios.
