Soft Seal Gate Valve

Soft-sealing gate valve is a valve that controls fluid on and off through vertical movement of the gate. It only supports fully open or fully closed states and cannot be used for flow regulation. Its core structure includes:

‌Valve body‌: cast iron, cast steel or stainless steel, compact structure;
‌Gate‌: the whole is covered with elastic materials such as rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and forms a soft seal with the valve seat;
‌Valve seat‌: the sealing surface is embedded with corrosion-resistant materials such as EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) or NBR (nitrile rubber);
‌Valve stem‌: stainless steel material, driving the gate by rotation or lifting.
Working principle
‌Open state‌: the valve stem drives the gate to rise to the top of the valve cavity, the flow channel is completely unobstructed, and the fluid resistance can be ignored;
‌Closed state‌: the gate is pressed down to deform the elastic sealing material, fill the microscopic gap, and block the flow of the medium.
Note: When closing, a 1/2-1 turn reversal margin must be reserved to prevent temperature changes from causing blockage

Applications
Municipal water supply: pressure control and cutoff of urban water supply and drainage networks, suitable for pipe diameters of DN50-DN1200;
Chemical system: pipeline isolation of weakly corrosive media (such as acid and alkali solutions);
Sewage treatment: on-off control of media containing suspended particles to avoid valve seat jamming
