Gate Valve For Natural Gas

Natural gas gate valve is a shut-off valve specially used in the natural gas transmission system. It realizes full opening or full closing control of the pipeline medium by vertically lifting the gate plate. It is suitable for medium and high pressure scenarios (such as urban gas trunk pipelines, gas storage stations, etc.).

Its core functions are:

‌ Minimal fluid resistance‌: The flow channel is straight in the fully open state, and the pressure loss is negligible;
‌ Bidirectional sealing ability‌: It supports bidirectional flow of the medium, and the installation direction is not restricted.

Structure and working principle
‌Core components‌:

‌Valve body‌: cast iron or ductile iron (cast steel is used in high-pressure scenarios), with smooth internal flow channels to reduce turbulence;
‌Gate‌:
‌Flexible gate‌: with pressure discharge hole, compensating for sealing surface wear through elastic deformation (applicable to ≤PN40 systems);
‌Parallel double gate‌: scrape impurities (such as tar, particulate matter) on the sealing surface to solve the problem of "loose closing" of traditional gate valves;
‌Valve seat‌: cladding carbide or embedded with PTFE material to improve corrosion resistance and sealing life;
‌Valve stem‌: stainless steel material, equipped with fully enclosed opening and closing indicator and dustproof protective cover.
‌Sealing principle‌:

The medium pressure pushes the gate to press the valve seat to form a self-seal, and the handwheel needs to be rotated to fully lock when closing;
High-pressure systems (such as PN300 level) discharge impurities through the valve cavity drain hole to avoid coking and blocking.
