pTFE lined gate valve Description
PTFE lined gate valve is a shut-off valve with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) as the lining material. It can achieve full opening or full closing control of highly corrosive media by vertically lifting the gate13. Its core features include:
Strong corrosion resistance: The PTFE lining layer can withstand highly corrosive media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrofluoric acid;
Full-diameter design: The flow channel is consistent with the inner diameter of the pipeline to reduce medium residue and pressure loss;
Double seal: Combining elastic gate and PTFE soft seal to adapt to complex working conditions.
Structure and components
Valve body:
The base material is cast iron or cast steel, and the inner wall is molded with a PTFE lining layer (thickness ≥2mm), covering all areas in contact with the medium;
The flow channel adopts a straight-through design to reduce turbulence and scaling risks.
Gate:
Rigid gate: integrally cast wedge-shaped structure, suitable for clean media (wedge angle is usually 2°52');
Elastic gate: can slightly deform to compensate for the wear of the sealing surface, suitable for corrosive media containing particles or fibers.
Sealing system:
PTFE lining and valve seat form a soft sealing structure, with a leakage level of ANSI Class VI35;
Some models are equipped with a metal hard sealing auxiliary structure to improve the reliability of high-pressure working conditions.
Drive mode:
Manual operation drives the valve stem to rise and fall through the handwheel, and it needs to be completely closed to the locking position to ensure sealing;
Electric actuators can be optionally used for large-caliber or high-pressure scenarios
