Wafer Type Check Valve

Wafer check valve is a one-way automatic valve that relies on the force generated by the medium's own flow to drive the valve disc to open and close. It is used in pipeline systems to prevent medium backflow, pump reversal, and uncontrolled container pressure relief.

Description

 

Wafer check valve is an automatic valve that drives the valve disc to open and close through the flow of the medium itself. It is used to prevent the medium from flowing back, the pump from reversing, and the pressure relief of the container from being out of control. It adopts a wafer connection structure and is fixed between the pipe flanges by flanges or bolts. It has the characteristics of small size, light weight, and convenient installation. It is suitable for pipeline systems with limited space.

Core structure and type
Structural type: Lift type (H71 type): The valve disc moves up and down along the vertical axis, relying on the medium pressure to open, and the spring assists in closing. It is suitable for small-diameter high-pressure scenes (DN15~350mm); Swing type (H44 type): The valve disc rotates around the hinge axis, which is suitable for large-diameter low-flow pipelines (DN50~1200mm), with low flow resistance and small closing impact; Butterfly double disc (H76 type): The double disc design is combined with spring buffering, with fast closing speed (<1 second), which significantly reduces the water hammer effect.
‌Key components‌:
‌Body material‌: stainless steel (304/316L), carbon steel (WCB/WCC) or low-temperature steel (LCB), suitable for different media and environments;
‌Sealing technology‌: metal hard seal (welded Stellite alloy) or elastic soft seal (PTFE/graphite), meeting ANSI Class V/VI leakage standards.

Advantages

Anti-water hammer design: Spring buffer (such as the double spring structure in patent CN 222798224 U) or butterfly double-flap diversion is used to reduce the impact of backflow and extend the life of the valve;

Compact and efficient: The structural length is only 1/3 of the traditional flange check valve, and the weight is reduced by 40%~60%, saving installation space;

Quick response: The valve flap closing time can be controlled within 0.3~1 second to prevent the backflow of the medium from causing system pressure fluctuations.
