spring loaded check valve Description
Spring loaded check valve is a one-way valve that is closed with the help of spring force, allowing the medium to flow in one direction and blocking reverse backflow. Its core mechanism is:
Forward flow opening: The medium pressure overcomes the spring resistance and pushes the valve disc (such as valve disc, ball, etc.) to open, forming a flow channel;
Reverse flow closing: When the medium pressure disappears or backflow occurs, the spring force quickly resets the valve disc to the sealing position to block the backflow.
The closing action trigger pressure (i.e., rupture pressure) depends on the spring stiffness and the medium working conditions.
Type and structure
Classification by structure:
Spring in-line type: The valve disc is parallel to the pipeline axis, with a compact structure, suitable for small-diameter pipelines (DN15~100mm);
Spring Y type: The valve disc is at a certain angle to the pipeline, with lower flow resistance and easy maintenance. It is often used in high-pressure or frequent opening and closing scenarios;
Swing spring assisted type: Combines hinged swing valve disc with spring buffer to reduce closing impact and is suitable for large-diameter pipelines (DN200~1200mm).
Key components:
Spring material: stainless steel (304/316L) or alloy steel, corrosion-resistant and elastically stable;
Sealing form: metal hard seal (high temperature and high pressure) or elastic soft seal (PTFE/graphite), meeting ANSI Class VI leakage standards
