Lifting Check Valve Description
Lifting check valves, also known as non-return valves, one-way valves, reverse flow valves, or back-pressure valves, are automatic valves. The valve's disc opens under forward flow pressure and closes under reverse flow pressure and the disc's own weight. Its primary function is to prevent reverse flow in industrial pipelines and protect pumps and driven equipment. The disc slides vertically along the centerline of the valve body. The fluid passage structure is similar to that of a globe valve, but with greater fluid resistance. The valve body and disc can be constructed from all metal or a rubber composite.
Lifting check valves are available in straight-through (for horizontal pipelines) and vertical (for vertical pipelines). Vertical disc types require horizontal installation, while horizontal disc types require vertical installation. The sealing surface utilizes stainless steel overlay welding, and the valve body is made of a variety of materials, including cast steel and stainless steel. Suitable media include water, oil, and steam, and they are widely used in petroleum, chemical, power, and fire protection systems. The nominal pressure range is 1.6-32.0 MPa, and connection options include welding, flanges, and threads. The operating temperature range is -196°C to 550°C.

Scope of Application: Pipelines for water, food, pharmaceuticals, power, oil, liquefied gas, steam, and more
Structural Characteristics
Disc Movement: The disc moves vertically along the valve body centerline (or perpendicular centerline) in a lifting motion12.
Valve Body Structure: The lift check valve shares many similarities with a globe valve, and their bodies are fully interchangeable. The disc design is also similar to that of a globe valve, with guide shafts and sleeves installed between the upper disc and lower bonnet. These guide shafts allow the disc to freely move up and down within the bonnet sleeve34.
Sealing Performance: Lift check valves with metal-to-metal sealing surfaces permit minor leakage and are suitable for applications where backflow sealing requirements are not extremely strict
