API pressure-seal check valve is a commonly used valve whose operation primarily relies on the direction of medium flow and the internal structural design of the valve body to achieve automatic closure and prevent backflow. Typically, it consists of a valve body, valve seat, and valve disc. When the medium (such as liquid or gas) flows into the valve from the inlet, the fluid pressure pushes the valve disc upward or outward, allowing smooth passage. This process depends on the dynamic pressure of the fluid.

When the fluid stops flowing or reverses, the valve disc quickly closes under the combined action of gravity and reverse fluid pressure, effectively preventing backflow and avoiding system disruption or equipment damage. This self-sealing feature makes pressure-seal check valves widely applicable in industries such as chemical, petroleum, and water supply.
