Wafer butterfly valve with pneumatic actuator is a valve that can be opened and closed quickly by rotating the valve disc driven by compressed air. It is suitable for pipeline systems with limited space and high-frequency operation. It is widely used in flow control and isolation in the fields of chemical, energy, food, etc.

Core structure and working principle

Valve body and connection form:
Wafer design: The valve body is clamped between the pipe flanges by bolts, with a compact structure and saving installation space.
Valve plate and seal: The butterfly plate adopts a disc-shaped structure, and the sealing material can be nitrile rubber (NBR), fluororubber (FKM) or metal hard seal to meet the needs of different media.

Pneumatic actuator:
Double-acting/single-acting: Double-acting actuators rely on bidirectional air source drive, and single-acting actuators are equipped with spring reset function (automatically closed when air is lost).
‌Drive mode‌: gear rack (AT series) or scotch fork (AW series) transmission, output torque up to ‌10~5000 N·m‌, suitable for DN15~DN1200 caliber‌.

Working principle‌:
The air source (0.4~0.6 MPa) switches the direction through the solenoid valve, pushes the actuator piston to move, and drives the butterfly plate to rotate ‌90°‌ to achieve full opening or full closing‌.
‌Sealing mechanism‌: centerline elastic seal (soft seal) or three-eccentric metal seal, leakage level ≤10 ppm‌
