Products Description
Butterfly valve, referred to as butterfly valve, refers to a valve whose closing member (valve disc or butterfly plate) is a disc and rotates around the valve axis to open and close. It is mainly used for cutting and throttling on pipelines.
Butterfly valve, referred to as butterfly valve, is a type of throttle valve and is an important device in the water supply and drainage pipeline system. With the advancement of industrial technology, different requirements have been put forward for the structure and performance of butterfly valves. Therefore, during design and selection, reasonable choices should be made based on the type, material, and connection form based on the working conditions.

3 Main Butterfly Valve Types
Although the functions of these valves are essentially the same, there are many variations in butterfly valve design to accommodate different operations. The following are the three main butterfly valve types:
● Zero offset butterfly valve
"Concentric" or "rubber seat" are other names for zero-offset designs. Zero deflection means there is no deflection in the valve's stem. The valve is sealed by interference between the disc and the rubber seat along the edge of the disc at the valve stem.
Rubber seat valves have the lowest pressure ratings (up to 250 PSI) and can withstand temperatures up to 400°F. Its rubber seat surrounds the body and prevents contact with the material, thus maintaining the purity of the media.
● High performance double eccentric butterfly valve
This butterfly valve is called double eccentric because the eccentricity is located in two places: at the line of the seat/body seal and at the bore. Off-center positioning improves seal durability. High performance valves can withstand pressures up to 1440 PSI and temperatures up to 1200°F.
During the first 10 degrees of opening and the 10 degrees of closing of the 90° rotation, the valve stem rubs behind the disc, creating a camming action.
● Triple offset butterfly valve
The best butterfly valve type for high pressure systems is the triple offset butterfly valve. Of the three types, triple offset is the most advanced, has lower emissions, and is designed for use in a variety of environments. Its heat resistance is 1200°F as it can withstand 1,480 PSI of pressure.
Like the double offset valve, the triple offset valve consists of two eccentric valves located in the center, but the third eccentric valve has a cam action with a right-angle cone seal. Since the metal sealing parts do not contact until the final point, they are friction-free and wear-resistant.
