Soft Seated Butterfly Valves

Soft seat butterfly valve is a butterfly valve that uses elastic materials (such as EPDM, fluororubber, NBR, etc.) as a sealing pair. It can cut off or adjust the flow of pipeline media by rotating the butterfly plate. It is suitable for low pressure, normal temperature or medium temperature conditions.
Core functions
Include fast opening and closing (90° rotation action), low flow resistance control, and scenarios with high sealing requirements (such as corrosive media).
Structural design
Sealing pair: The edge of the butterfly plate is embedded with a soft sealing ring (elastic material) to form an extrusion seal with the inner wall of the valve body, and the leakage level can reach level VI (zero leakage);
Connection mode: mainly wafer type (small size and light weight), and some flange type (stronger high pressure adaptability);
Drive mode: supports manual, pneumatic or electric actuators, and the pneumatic drive has a short response time (≤5 seconds), which is suitable for automation systems.

Applications
Water treatment system
Municipal water supply and drainage network: Utilize the water resistance and wear resistance of EPDN rubber to achieve long-term stable sealing;
Wastewater treatment plant: Adapt to medium containing particles (such as mud) to avoid leakage caused by impurities blocking the hard seal.
Food and pharmaceutical industry
Sanitary pipes (such as dairy product transportation): Use PTFE soft seals, which meet FDA standards and avoid medium contamination.
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
Cold and hot water circulation system: Fluororubber seals are adapted to temperature fluctuations (-20℃ to 120℃) to ensure energy efficiency control.
