Butterfly valve for water is a valve specially used in water medium pipeline system, which controls or cuts off the water flow by rotating the butterfly plate. Its core structure is similar to that of the general butterfly valve, but it is optimized for the characteristics of water and mainly includes the following components:

‌Valve body‌: cylindrical body, mostly made of cast iron, stainless steel or corrosion-resistant alloy, used to connect pipelines‌.

Precautions
‌Selection and installation‌:
Select corrosion-resistant materials (such as stainless steel valve body + EPDM sealing ring) according to water quality (such as pH, sand content).
When installing, ensure that the water flow direction is consistent with the direction marked on the valve body to avoid reverse force causing seal failure‌.
‌Operation specification‌:
Avoid the butterfly plate from being in a half-open state for a long time (especially in high-pressure systems) to reduce the risk of cavitation‌. Electric or worm gear drive devices need to be lubricated regularly to prevent the valve stem from getting stuck.
‌Maintenance management‌:
Check the wear of the sealing ring every six months and replace it in time.
Antifreeze is required when used in cold areas to prevent ice expansion and damage inside the valve body.
