Wafer Cast Iron Ball Valve

Wafer cast iron ball valve is an industrial valve that uses ductile iron (QT450/GGG40) as the material for the valve body and is installed through a wafer flange connection. Its core structure includes:

Valve body: Ductile iron casting, pressure resistance level can reach PN16~PN25, surface epoxy coating enhances corrosion resistance.
Spherical valve core: 90° rotation controls the medium on and off, and the full-diameter design reduces flow resistance.
Wafer connection: The valve is clamped between the pipe flanges through studs, with a compact structure and easy installation.
Sealing system: soft seal (such as PTFE or rubber) or hard seal (metal cladding), leakage level can reach level VI.

Working principle
‌Opening and closing mechanism‌: The drive device (manual/pneumatic) drives the valve stem to rotate, so that the ball core channel is aligned with the pipeline (fully open) or vertically offset (fully closed). ‌

Flow regulation‌: Flow classification control is achieved through partial rotation angles (such as 45°), which is adapted to high-precision working conditions. ‌

Performance characteristics ‌

High strength and corrosion resistance‌: The tensile strength of ductile iron material is ≥450MPa, and it can withstand corrosive media such as weak acids and sewage. ‌

Low flow resistance and high flowability‌: The full-bore design has a small pressure drop, and the flow capacity is more than 1.5 times that of valves of the same caliber. ‌

Compact and lightweight‌: The wafer-type structure does not require additional flanges, and the volume is 30% smaller than that of flanged ball valves, which is suitable for space-constrained scenarios. ‌

Long life and easy maintenance‌: The modular design supports quick replacement of seals, and the service life under normal working conditions is more than 10 years.
