Top-Entry Cryogenic Ball Valve Description

 

Top-entry cryogenic ball valves, also known as top-entry ball valves, are named because the ball, which opens and closes the valve body, is installed from the top down. They are primarily used in LNG (liquefied natural gas) receiving terminals, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and LNG filling stations, LNG tankers, ethylene liquefaction plants, air separation, and other cryogenic industries. The special series of top-entry cryogenic ball valves utilizes internationally advanced technology and employs a dedicated lip-seal seal, ensuring excellent sealing performance.

Top-entry design structure:‌ Allows for quick inspection and maintenance of internal components during pipeline system operation without disassembling the pipeline, significantly reducing maintenance costs and time.

High sealing performance:‌ Utilizes advanced sealing materials and technologies, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or metal-to-metal sealing, to ensure excellent sealing performance even under low-temperature conditions.

Ball: Solution treated + cryogenically treated in liquid nitrogen (-196°C) + surface hardening

Valve seat: PCTFE (ultra-low temperature soft seal), WC/Ni60 (ultra-low temperature hard seal)
